En una Reciente entrevista que tuvo J.C. Smith, actual Director Senior de Marketing de The Pokémon Company, a asegurado que Pokémon GO no pretende ofrecernos la experiencia que podemos encontrar en los juegos de Consolas de Nintendo, sino que pretenden llevar el Mundo Pokémon a una Experiencia Nativa de Dispositivos Inteligentes.
«We’re not trying to recreate the video game experience,»
«What we wanted to do with the mobile game from both sides — from Niantic as well as Pokémon — was, we wanted to make a new experience that was native to mobile.»
Por su parte, el CEO de Niantic: John Hanke, menciona que Pokémon GO ofrece simplicidad para los Jugadores Novatos en la serie de Pokémon, pero que un Jugador experimentado tendrá contacto con temas conocidos como la Evolución y las Competencias en los Gimnasios.
«We’re trying to make the game accessible to a person who doesn’t yet know how much they want to commit to the game, who just wants to explore.»
«At the same time, we think that there’s an opportunity to build depth. There’s an emergent complexity that doesn’t hit you over the head at first blush, [from] trying to power up your Pokémon and evolve and ultimately start competing for gyms.»
También menciona que con Pokémon GO, los jugadores pueden reunirse para atrapar Pokémon juntos, y en general hacen referencia a las habilidades sociales que se pueden desarrollar con el uso de esta aplicación:

Para Finalizar, hablan de las bondades que ofrecerá el Pokémon GO Plus, mismas que ayudarán a no perder tu «Vida Social» e incluso atrapar algunos Pokémon sin la necesidad de estar atendiendo la aplicación directamente desde tu teléfono:
«With a few clicks of the button, you can harvest items and catch Pokémon and continue to build up progress in the game. In all of those scenarios, it would be really awesome to have a device not to completely replace interacting with the phone, but supplement it.»
