Desde hace unas horas, Super Bomberman R se ha actualizado a la versión 2.0 para ofrecer a Todos los usuarios del Juego los siguientes cambios dentro del mismo:
Se agrega el Modo: Grand Prix, donde dos Equipos de Tres Jugadores cada uno Pelearán dentro del campo de Batalla para ver quién es el mejor. Este tipo de Juego ofrecerá los siguientes Modos de Batalla:
- “Crystal” Match – two teams compete to earn points by collecting crystals. Watch out for bombs! If you’re blown away you lose half of your crystals. The team with the most points at the end of the round wins.
- “Basic Bomber” Match — two teams compete against each other using standard Bomberman rules. Each team begins with a set number of lives. To win, take out your opponents to earn the most points before the time runs out.
Esta actualización también incluye nueve nuevos Personajes, un Nuevo Mundo 7 en el Modo Historia y otros escenarios y accesorios. Estos nuevos Personajes se listan a continuación:

- Dracula Bomber
- Princess Tomato Bomber
- Bubble Head Bomber
- Option Bomber
- Shiori Fujisaki Bomber
- Jehuty Bomber
- Anubis Bomber
- Reiko Bomber
