En su último Podcast, NateTheHate: insider que acertó a varias filtraciones en el pasado, ha confirmado que el sucesor del Nintendo Switch (o Nintendo Switch 2), será anunciado esta misma semana, más en específico el próximo jueves 16 de enero del 2025. También dice que esta presentción estará enfocada exclusivamente en la consola y que no habrá juegos en esta presentación:
“I can share with you that Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed in the coming week… I have been told Switch 2 will be revealed on Thursday, January 16… just a few days from now”
“I’ve heard that the reveal itself is going to focus almost exclusively on the console itself. There is not going to be any presence of games. There could be a game shown running on the screen, depending on how the trailer is put together, but software is not going to be a focus.”
También dice que podríamos tener un nuevo Nintendo Direct en el mes de Febrero donde veremos más juegos del actual Switch que llegarán a lo largo del año, como el rumoreado port de Kirby Planet Robobot, Metroid Prime 2 (Remastered), F-ZERO GX, entre otros…
