En una entrevista para IGN, Eiji Aonuma: Actual Productor de los Juegos de The Legend of Zelda, ha declarado que otra entrega de la Saga podría llegar a Nintendo Switch.
Adicional a Esto, Aonuma dice que el desarrollo en los títulos de Zelda se ha mantenido constante a lo largo de estos años, en donde el personaje principal conoce a otros Personajes que lo ayudarán a desarrollarse durante la Aventura, aunque siempre teniendo en cuenta el cómo lograr expandir todas esas posibilidades:
“I think the core element of Zelda gameplay kind of stays the same. There’s the main character development as well as characters you meet along the way, and then you learn new things as the character develops. With that said I think we could keep all that, and then I do wonder how we can expand from here with that in mind.”
EN esa Entrevista Miyamoto insinúa que de haber otra Consola (o Hardware) de Nintendo en el Mercado, la compañía llevaría sus IP’s Estrellas a la misma, por lo que Zelda estaría ahí:
“Mr. Aonuma is the producer for Zelda. If we don’t create another one, he’s going to be out of a job, that should be his motivation for another one. As a company, Nintendo releases a main series in our key franchises for every new hardware that we’ve put out. If we release another hardware, that’ll be another new Zelda.”
